"I expect to die in bed, my successor will die in prison and his successor will die a martyr in the public square. His successor will pick up the shards of a ruined society and slowly help rebuild civilization, as the church has done so often in human history."
Cardinal Francis George
Christians Must Brace for Escalating Global Persecution
Our home page is not a collection of random news stories about Christian persecution, as it may appear at first blush.
Our purpose is to expose a systematic, historical and continual pattern of global Christian persecution leading up to the present day. Most of this persecution has been at best glossed over by historians and the media. Christian persecution and discrimination has usually been excused, unreported, barely reported, or mischaracterized as sectarian conflict. For example, the Nuremberg trial documents revealed that the German National Socialists (Anglicized to the term Nazis), were led largely by anti-Christian agnostics and neopagans who actively persecuted the Church. For decades before the Nazi rise, Germany had turned into a nominally Christian country. Germany's rationalist philosophers and radical materialist theologians had successfully whittled away at Germany's traditional Christian beliefs. By the time the Nazis had seized power, Germany was merely culturally Christian-they would adhere to the trappings of Christian holidays, celebrate Christmas, even give money to the Lutheran and Catholic churches. |
Yet, most Germans were not believers or followers of the Christian faith. The German elite: academics, the wealthy, cultural and political activists, were demonstrably agnostic. Even German Christian theologians followed a reductionist philosophy when reviewing Scripture. For example, German theologians such as David Friedrich Strauss and Adolf von Warnock declared that the Gospel of John engaged in Hellenistic mythology, and questioned the existence of a historic Jesus, corrupting Biblical scholarship for decades.
Yet the popular culture perceives the Nazi leadership as 'Christians gone bad' at best, or at worst, right wing Christians busily persecuting Jews and other minorities. Meanwhile Germans persecuted Christians and Catholics, plotted to kidnap the Pope, plunder the Vatican, targeted, arrested and killed tens of thousands of Catholic clergy and millions of Catholic Slavs and Poles. Dietrich Bonhoeffer, theologian and founder of the Confessing Church in opposition to the Nazi Reich Church, was executed. Pre-Nazi Germany was nominally Christian. The antiChristian campaigns of the secular and neopagan Nazis, and the communists controlling East Germany, had a permanent negative impact on the number of German Christian adherents. Germany is now one of the most atheistic nations in the world. The Nazis, communists, and militant Muslims rejected Christ's message of God's |
love for all mankind. They protested that the Christian mandates to 'love your neighbor as yourself,' 'love your enemies,' and 'turn the other cheek', corrupted their respective ideologies.
We are not using a broad brush to paint all members of groups that have persecuted or are persecuting Christians as all bad...e.g. not all Germans during the Nazi period were mass murderers. Not all Muslims today are militant terrorists, in fact it's a relatively small but very determined group. Many Muslims are intolerant of Christianity however, some to the point of violence. Many more reject Western 'values', especially the ones the USA has promoted in the last couple of decades: identity politics, feminist activism, abortion, birth control, two income households, same sex marriage and gay adoption of children. In fairness, they believe the West exports decadence and unnatural lifestyles. Many Muslims see our values as inconsistent with raising healthy families. In the USA, Canada and UK, Muslims keep their culture and religion alive. It bonds them together, even globally. Still, some blame must be appropriately apportioned for historic tendencies to persecute Christians, especially among groups that retain express anti-Christian objectives in their ideology. |

Christianity Targeted for Genocide
The first genocide of the 20th Century was not the Holocaust of Jews, Christians, Jehovah's Witnesses and others by the Nazis. The Ottoman Empire's caliphate against their own Christians, starting in 1914, began the first genocide of the 20th Century. Islamic jihad became genocide against the Assyrians, Armenians and other Christians, who were murdered, tortured, raped, enslaved and forced to convert or die.

In 2014, Cardinal Dolan became one of the first to identify Islamic fanaticism as the danger to vulnerable Middle Eastern religious minorities. He spoke at Hudson Institute’s all-day panel, “The Islamic State’s Religious Cleansing and the Urgency of a Strategic Response,” held at The Peninsula Hotel in New York City: In talking about it, we have got to be blunt, we have to call it what it is. We are talking about fanatical Islamic Christianophobic terrorism, and we should not be afraid to tag it as such. We don’t need to get into euphemisms; we don’t need to get into circumlocution. We know what this is about, and we need to tag it as such. Excerpt from Hudson Institute, quoting His Eminence Cardinal Timothy Dolan, Archbishop of the Archdiocese of New York, regarding his seven-point plan to end the persecution of Christians by the Islamic State. |
OTTOMAN EMPIRE CALIPHATE AGAINST CHRISTIANS: FIRST GENOCIDE OF 20TH CENTURY

In the United States, the foundation for this siege has rested on the fallacious charge that the Supreme Court will not allow this breach in the impenetrable Jeffersonian wall of separation of church and state. According to Gibson's book, The War on Christmas, the Supreme Court of the United States has never said that Christmas trees, carols or the salutary greeting Merry Christmas were unconstitutional.
